1. Why did you choose to purchase in Sky Ranch?^*

I wanted to have a hangar for my plane, fly more, and this was the best choice.

I wanted to be away from the city, I like the wide-open spaces. Freedom.

I thought it was a good investment.

I planned on retiring out here because of costs and some combination of above.

2. How important is the aviation/hangar/flying part of Sky Ranch to you?^*

Very important. Aviation is in my blood. It is a major part of my life.

Important. I would love to fly or work on my plane more, and this allows for that.

Semi- I have always been interested and enjoy others dedication.

Not at all. I don’t hate planes, but they are not my thing.

5. How much importance and value do you place on Sandy Valley’s water independence (vs. from Lake Mead) and our owning our own water “utility” infrastructure?^*

Very Important: Our well and the Sandy Valley aquafer is critically important.

Important. Without it our homes are worth much less.

Semi- We can likely get water from somewhere.

Not at all. I don’t live out here and never will.

6. Sky Ranch owns and maintains our own roads, how important is their upkeep and condition to you?^*

Very important. I want to have a “nice” development.

Important. I don’t want potholes, but don’t need perfect roads.

Semi- Doesn’t concern me much.

Don’t care. I could live on a gravel road just fine.

7. The Sky Ranch Airpark development is a clearly defined residential area. How important is the security of that area to you? Would you consider gates and/or security video equipment be a worthwhile investment?^*

Gates provide much needed limitations to unwanted visitors to our homes, the runway and would prevent possible crime etc. Cameras would help enforce that.

Gates are nice, but the inconvenience, and expense and complications and additional fencing make it hard to execute. Cameras might be an idea.

I don’t think it would help much either way.

I hate the idea.

8. Knowing your neighbors can be a enriching experience in good times, and could be lifesaving in bad. How much importance and value to you place on the “community aspect” of Sky Ranch”?^*

I think it a very important thing and would like to see more activities that allow us to interact, like the BBQ’s and parties etc.

While I think it is nice and appreciate the efforts, I am not able to go much.

I just don’t feel that socially welcomed.

I think it’s a waste of time.

9. The Sky Ranch Airpark as an “entity” expires in 2027. Are you aware of that and the ramifications it presents?^*

Yes. I voted to preserve and extend it.

Sort of, but I was overwhelmed last time with all the runway stuff and didn’t really follow up.

Nah, just more nonsense from the board.

No, I’d just as soon let the whole thing go.

10. The board has been working on a web portal that will serve as a “hub” of information about Sky Ranch and allow for payments of assessments etc. Do you see this as a worthwhile investment?^*

Yes, fantastic catch-up technology wise.

It’s OK paying online would be nice, as would reference to minutes and financials.

Good, but do we need it, I don’t know much about it.

I’m skeptical of any new board driven initiative.
